    For today’s GFS data, we are interested in colder overnight trends for the US corn belt over May 3-9 hold. With plantings off to a slow pace, cooler trends are not ideal.

    Images above show colder overnight trends in max and min temperatures for May 3-9. Not ideal if highs struggle to reach near 60F instead of 65F.

    Image shows a not quite as cold weather system pushing into the Midwest May 4-5. So this new GFS going to trend back a little warmer across the corn belt. Corn prices were at highs of the session a few minutes ago. Curious if warmer trends get noticed if they hold May 5-8.
