Winter Wheat belt trends a little wetter in the latest GFS ensemble data. Although western Kansas likely will be on the lighter amount side.

Same deal in new GFS data, a bit too cool US corn and bean belt. This also means soil temperatures only in upper 40s to lower 50s through May 7. But they do rocket warmer after that as highs of 60s and 70s increase in coverage.

Rather chilly weather system May 4-5 in new GFS operational run. Not what those wanting to plant want to see.

Image shows a not quite as cold weather system pushing into the Midwest May 4-5. So this new GFS going to trend back a little warmer across the corn belt. Corn prices were at highs of the session a few minutes ago. Curious if warmer trends get noticed if they hold May 5-8.

Images above show colder overnight trends in max and min temperatures for May 3-9. Not ideal if highs struggle to reach near 60F instead of 65F.
